AWS infrastructure setup covers VPC design (public and private subnets), EC2 provisioning, IAM role configuration with least-privilege policies, RDS database setup, S3 bucket policies, load balancer configuration with SSL termination, auto-scaling groups, and CloudWatch alerting. A complete production-ready environment is delivered in 3–5 days.
A simple lift-and-shift migration (single app from a VPS to EC2) takes 3–5 days. A full environment migration with database cutover and zero-downtime deployment takes 2–4 weeks. Multi-service architectures with Kubernetes typically take 4–8 weeks. All migrations include a rollback plan defined before any resource is provisioned.
Zero-downtime migrations use a blue-green deployment strategy: the new AWS environment is provisioned and validated in parallel with the live system. DNS cutover happens with a short TTL and automatic rollback if health checks fail within the first 15 minutes. No users experience interruption.
A standard startup AWS setup uses: VPC with public and private subnets across 2 AZs, EC2 with Auto Scaling, Application Load Balancer, RDS (PostgreSQL or MySQL), S3 for storage, CloudFront for CDN, ACM for SSL, IAM roles with least-privilege, CloudWatch for metrics and alerts, and Route 53 for DNS management. Terraform manages all resources as code.
